Case Studies: Real Life Examination

For the Health Practitioner program, doctorates in Naturopathy, Homeopathy or Oriental Medicine, as well as the Holistic Nutritionist program, the student finishes his/her curriculum with a "Clinical Studies" course. It featured a few well documented clinical study cases and is directly related to the subject studied, giving the student the opportunity to prepare for consultation work. The student must answer questions, perform three clinical study cases, according to the model provided, and then write a report.

diplomeThese courses allows the student to connect knowledge with know-how, while developing mental reflexes necessary to clinical practice.

Doctorate Program: Thesis Paper and Internship

For doctorate programs in  Naturopathy, Homeopathy or Oriental Medicine, the student must choose his/her research subject, submit it for validation and write a thesis paper. There is also an internship that is required: 36 hours at a College accepted active practitioner's office, which is completed by submitting a summary report.

Evaluation

Passing grade to obtain a diploma is set at 70%. It is the cumulative average of all assignments plus the final assignment.

  • Continuous assessments are worth  60% of the final grade.
  • Case studies are worth 40% of the final grade.

Note: If you choose to study under the "Personal" status, then you do not have to write exams.

If you Fail…

You must get a grade of 70% to pass a course. As in many other institutions, if you fail, you have a second chance. After two failures, if your grade is high enough (70% or more), you will have to retake the entire course and resubmit another exam. On the contrary (average grade below 70%), your tutor will contact you about a possible change in program or orientation.
